Work with Us

Teaching excellence represents everything we stand for and is core to how we run our school. We are looking for people who want to make a positive difference to children’s lives, who can help us stretch and support children to achieve more than they believe they can.
We aim to ensure that our selection process gives prospective candidates a good insight into the school, the role and the people they will be working with.
Depending on the role the selection process for teaching positions includes:

  1. Application Form, Curriculum Vitae and covering letter.
  2. School tour.
  3. Delivering a lesson.
  4. Competency-based interview.

In line with Cognita, the school is committed to raising standards of education and to ensuring that best practice is adopted in all aspects of school curricula, teaching and learning and school management. Our success in these endeavours relies entirely on our people, so we are committed to recruiting and retaining outstanding talent: teachers and school leaders who are passionate about their craft.
Cognita Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment. Safer recruitment practice and pre-employment background checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. Appointment is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for regulated activity (if the candidate has lived in the UK) and/or criminal/police or equivalent background checks for all other countries inhabited (irrespective of whether you worked in those countries).
