Our Primary assembly has received a visit from the charity ‘Esto no se para’ from San Pedro del Pinatar. This charity collaborated with us in the successful charity run, celebrated at ELIS Villamartín on the 27th September for Global Be Well Day.
During the visit ‘Esto no se para’ representative, Moisés Sáez, thanked the ELIS school community for its generosity, and shared with our students the charity’s upcoming projects in Ethiopia. The event involved our Headteacher, Simon Roberts, who gave Moisés a symbolic giant cheque for the 2.715 € raised that has been already donated to this association.
Initiatives like this one are very important for developing our students’ awareness of school values, and integrity. Once our students leave ELIS, they will be well-rounded citizens, thanks to their skills development: confidence, analytical, teamwork, leadership, group management, self-awareness, metacognition, but also solidarity and global awareness.
