As part of the language programme of studies, students whose mother tongue is not English may prepare for the Cambridge University suite of exams. Pupils in Primary have the opportunity to sit the Trinity College London English oral examinations from level 2 to 6, and the First Certificate in English (FCE-B2) and the Cambridge Advanced English (CAE-C1) in Secondary.
Pupils in Primary have also the opportunity to sit the Trinity College London English oral examinations from level 2 to 6.
Pupils in A-Level whose mother tongue is not Spanish have the opportunity to sit exams to obtain the Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE), an official examination certified by the Instituto Cervantes and the Spanish Ministry of Education. ELIS Villamartín is a certified examination centre.
As part of the study of a third language (German, French or Chinese) pupils receive preparation for the Alliance Française and Goethe Institut Examinations (levels A1 to C1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR). They may also take the HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) for levels 1 to 3, a standardised test of Standard Chinese language proficiency for non-native speakers.
