Wellbeing sits at the very core of all that we do: we know that a student needs to be well to learn well. Caring, compassionate staff, who hold high expectations of themselves and of our students, ensure positive relationships are fostered so our students are motivated, engaged and successful.
Parents and teachers are passionate about helping children and young people flourish – physically, socially, emotionally, and academically. Developments in neuroscience have enabled the exploration of what impacts such flourishing, and at ELIS Murcia & Cognita, we have been looking carefully at the evidence behind our Be Well Charter and how this connects to student learning and thriving.
The Be Well, Learn Well series looks at the science behind each of the contributors in the charter (sleep, diet, exercise, connecting, doing, and giving), and how this might apply to either the school setting (for our teachers) or the home setting (for our parents).
We work with Dr Bettina Hohnen, who is a leading clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with parents and families in the UK and abroad to offer useful resources to our community.

COGNITA GLOBAL BE WELL DAY
Cognita schools focus on wellbeing throughout the year, but together on this dedicated day we celebrated our collective commitment to wellbeing as a global family. It is an annual reminder of the priority we place on equipping young people with the confidence and resourcefulness that prepares them to grow, thrive and find their success in a fast-changing world.
