By studying the National Curriculum of England and Wales and taking IGCSE English language courses, all of our students reach the equivalent of level B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
In Secondary, students prepare for the Cambridge Advanced English (CAE / C1) exam, and, in Sixth Form, the Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE / C2). In addition, pupils in Primary also have the opportunity to sit the Trinity College London English oral examinations from level 2 to 6.
As part of the study of a third language (German, French or Chinese) pupils receive preparation for the Alliance Française and Goethe Institut Examinations (levels A1 to C1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). They may also take the HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) for levels 1 to 3, a standardised test of Standard Chinese language proficiency for non-native speakers.
