The Chair of Governors

Commitment to excellence is one of the pillars on which our day to day in El Limonar International School is based. It is, therefore, a great privilege to count on the guidance of the Chair of Governors who supports us in maintaining school standards whilst ensuring we focus on helping each and every pupil achieve their true potential.

To this end, our Chair of Governors works together with the School Leadership Team to ensure the best possible academic outcomes and a clear vision of the values ​​and strategic planning for El Limonar International School. This figure also monitors both our professionals’ and our students’ performance, optimising and overseeing the management of all school resources is carried out in an optimal way.

Undoubtedly a valuable asset who allows us to meet the very highest of levels whilst enabling us to prepare for the challenges of the future.

Mr John Coleman B.Ed M.Ed

El Limonar International School is grateful to be able to call upon the expert guidance of Mr John Coleman, who serves as the school’s Chair of Governors and has over 30 years of experience at the forefront of British education in the UK and overseas.

As Chair of Governors, Mr Coleman works closely with the Headteacher in the appointment of staff, monitors the school’s performance in a range of areas and works as a critical friend to support us as we strive for excellence in everything we do.

Mr Coleman comments: ‘It is a privilege to be the Chair of Governors for El Limonar International School. The pupils are a delight to be amongst and show great attitudes towards getting the very best from their education. Staff work hard to provide what each pupil needs. The progress pupils make in their academic studies and in their personal skills, bears comparison with the very best schools to be found anywhere.’

Mr Coleman was a headteacher in two schools and an Ofsted inspector. John joined Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI) in 2005 serving with great distinction until leaving to join Cognita in February 2016. As well as serving as El Limonar International School, Mr Coleman is also an Assistant Director of Education at Cognita.
