Last Friday ELIS Murcia celebrated Cultural Diversity Day with a wide range of activities throughout the school.
Among the activities, some students enjoyed a videocall with the Maxi Cognita School in Londrina, Brazil, where they all had the opportunity to share customs and traditions from both countries. Fundación Vicente Ferrer also joined this initiative by offering a talk entitled “One World, Twelve Challenges” highlighting the main goals required for a sustainable future.
There was also time for an amazing assembly, Chinese poems, traditions and fauna from Ghana, Italian culture and food, Brazilian dancing, handicrafts that were displayed afterwards outside Newton and much more.
Nurturing a global mindset is at the core of the ELIS Values. Promoting multilingualism and a multicultural awareness is key not only for our students’ professional success but also for their personal development. Our journey towards the Council of International School (CIS) accreditation is testament to this strong commitment.
