Here at ELIS Murcia, Careers Guidance is a fundamental part of our students’ education and is now an integral part of our school life. Not only do our students have the chance to experience life in the workplace, but you are also lucky enough to enjoy days like the one we celebrated yesterday: our II ELIS Murcia Careers Day.
Our colleagues, Miranda Hopkins and Aurora Brox, organised an enriching programme where our Y11 to Y13 students had the opportunity to attend different talks about the role of STEAM in society, how to access university and the possibilities of a future in the Armed Forces.
Some of our former students also supported us with onsite and online talks about their lives and careers after their graduation from ELIS, providing our students with amazing first hand experiences and answering their questions.
The day closed with an interesting round table debate about how soft skills are key for our students’ future. We were lucky enough to count on the presence of eleven parents, prestigious professionals with a wide variety of backgrounds and working experiences. We would like to thank Patricia Carbonell, Silvia Pérez Pavía, Juan Diego García, Ana Magaña, Inma Sánchez, María José Frutos, Santiago Revuelta, Casilda Pérez, Graciela Valero, Nadim Demachkie and Luis Fuentes for their collaboration.
